“Air Conditioner is Boring”
The team started with the premise that Air Conditioners are boring. We sliced and disected it till we thought they should have some entertainment value.
Office ACs cost 30k and upwards, the front of the AC can be Replaced with a slim/Slick LED. The incremental costs are justifiable when the benefits outweigh them. The corporate can broadcast its philosophy, show live games, and make it a central piece of brand communication, education plus entertainment apart from saving space.
Among other ideas are ‘Moody AC’ – an AC that changes color with a click of button, a ‘See Thru AC’ – where the transparent cover shows whats inside and thereby helps notice the amount of dust accumulated so that timely servicing can be done (removing dust on a timely manner saves 20% of energy – we don’t do because we don’t SEE) and other interesting products emerged out of the discussion.
